Sticky notes that render markdown, and agents that write back.

Stickmate keeps notes on your Mac desktop. Paste markdown and it looks right. Mention @claude in a note and the answer lands underneath. Agents can leave you notes too, and any note can stay off your screen shares.

Free to start. Pro is £25 once. macOS 13 or later.

Paste markdown. Get a proper note.

Headings, checklists, tables and code render the moment you paste, the way they do in Claude. Select any word to make it bigger or give it a colour. Underneath, the note stays plain markdown you can copy anywhere.

  • ⌘V paste and render
  • ⌘+ bigger
  • ⌘B bold

Mention an agent. The answer lands underneath.

Write @claude, or the name of any of your Claude Code agents, and press Ask. Add a #project tag and it reads that project's files. Every reply shows how long it took and what it cost, and a follow-up is just another line.

  • ⇧⌘↩ ask the agent

Agents can leave you notes.

Claude Code, scripts and scheduled jobs put a note on your screen with one command. Send the same key again and the note updates in place, so a build status stays one note instead of twenty. New notes appear without taking your focus, each one shows who sent it and when, notes from the same project share a colour, and the files and pull requests an agent mentions are links you can click to open.

Agents ask. You answer.

When an agent needs a decision, it asks in a note. Tap Yes, No or a choice, type a reply if you want to, and press Reply. Your answers go straight back to the agent that asked, and the note tells you when they've been delivered. Anything risky is marked Needs care and takes a real click.

  • stickmate ask ask from any agent

Notes the call never sees.

Hide any note from screen sharing, recordings and screenshots. It stays on your screen while you present, and in menus it only ever shows as "Private note". A camera pointed at your screen can still see it, so we say so.

  • ⇧⌘N new secret note
  • ⌃⌘H hide a note

Today's list starts where yesterday stopped.

⌘T opens today's to-do. Anything you didn't tick yesterday comes across on its own, and the top bar keeps count as you go. Templates for meetings, a daily plan and the week ahead are one shortcut away.

  • ⌘T today's to-do
  • ⌥⌘1 templates

One shortcut, from any app.

Global shortcuts bring Stickmate to you, wherever you are. ⌃⌥⌘T for today's list, ⌃⌥⌘N for a new note, ⌃⌥⌘V to turn whatever you just copied into a formatted note. The menu bar icon lists every note.

Agents read. They don't act.

Replies run on your own Claude Code account, on your Mac. Each run gets either one project's files or the web, never both, so a web page can't talk an agent into sending your files anywhere.

#project

Reads one project

Tag a note with a project and the agent can read that folder only. Keys, .env files and credentials are blocked, and there's no web access in that run.

@claude

Or searches the web

Without a tag the agent can search and read web pages from an empty folder, with no access to your files. Secret notes get search only.

$1 cap

Never runs anything

No commands, no edits, no email, no other tools. Each reply is capped at $1 and ten minutes, and the Stop button ends it straight away.

Pay once.

No subscription. Agent replies use your own Claude account, so there's nothing for us to charge you monthly for.

Your notes stay on your Mac.

Every note lives in one file on your Mac. No account, no sync server, nothing loaded from the web.

notes.json

One file on your Mac

Notes are saved to one local file in Application Support. Nothing syncs to a server.

no account

Nothing to sign up for

Download it and start writing. There's no account to make.

no remote loads

Nothing loads from the web

Raw HTML shows as text, images become links, and a strict content policy blocks remote requests.

⌘S

Take your notes anywhere

Save any note as a .md file, or open .md files as notes. Plain markdown, readable everywhere.

When you ask an agent, the note and any project files it reads are sent to Anthropic by Claude Code, under your own account and its terms. Stickmate does not see or store them.

Questions

Something else? Email hello@stickmate.app

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once and keep the version you bought for ever. Pro includes a year of updates; after that you can renew for £12 a year, or not.

Do I need Claude Code?

Only to ask agents inside a note. Notes, secret notes and the stickmate command work without it. Replies run on the Claude Code already on your Mac and are billed to your account.

What do agent replies cost?

Whatever your provider charges for that reply. Every reply shows its cost in the header, and each one is capped at $1 and ten minutes.

Which Macs does it run on?

Any Mac, Apple silicon or Intel, on macOS 13 Ventura or later.

Does it sync between Macs?

No. Notes stay in one file on the Mac you wrote them on. You can save any note as a .md file with ⌘S.

Can my agents flood my screen?

No. You choose which kinds of note appear, each agent can put six new notes on screen an hour by default, a noisy agent can go straight to the Notes list, and you can pause agent notes for an hour or until tomorrow. Nothing is lost: the rest wait in the Notes list, and questions still reach you.

What happens when I close a note?

It's put away, not deleted. Find it in the Notes list (⌘L), grouped by project, and put it back where it was. Deleted notes stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days.

How does hiding from screen sharing work?

Stickmate asks macOS to leave that note's window out of every capture. We tested it on macOS 26 against screenshots, recordings and the live capture that Zoom, Meet and Teams use. It can't hide a note from a camera pointed at your screen.

Can I get a refund?

Try the free version first: Pro is for when you know you want it, so we don't refund a change of mind. If Stickmate doesn't work on your Mac and we can't fix it, we'll refund you in full.

How is it different from Stickies?

Stickies shows plain text and appears in every screen share. Stickmate renders markdown, can keep a note out of screen shares, and lets your agents answer and leave notes.
