Privacy policy
Last updated 23 October 2026.
Precode Limited (Vantage Point, New England Street, Brighton, BN1 4GW, United Kingdom, company number 09189974) is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions or requests: hello@stickmate.app.
Your notes
Your notes are saved in one file on your Mac and never sent to us. Stickmate has no account, no analytics and no tracking. Your licence is checked on your Mac, without contacting us.
When you ask an agent
If you ask an agent inside a note, Stickmate runs the Claude Code installed on your Mac, which sends the note to Anthropic under your own account and their privacy terms. Nothing goes through us.
Checking for updates
Once a day, Stickmate downloads a small list of versions from stickmate.app. Like any web request, this shows our hosting provider (Vercel) your IP address and Stickmate's version. We don't use it to identify you.
When you buy Pro
Stripe takes your payment. We receive your name, email address, billing country and postcode, what you bought and when, but never your card details. We use this to issue your licence and invoice, work out the right tax, find your licence again if you lose it, and answer your emails. The legal basis is our contract with you, and our legal duty to keep tax records, which we keep for six years. Stripe's own use of your data is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
This website
The site sets no cookies of its own and has no analytics. Vercel, which hosts it, keeps short-lived server logs, including IP addresses, to run and protect the service. If you use the Find your licence page, the email address and invoice number are used for that lookup and not stored.
Who else handles data
Stripe (payments and invoices) and Vercel (website hosting). Both may process data outside the UK under safeguards the law requires. We don't sell personal data or share it with anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it (we'll keep tax records for as long as the law requires). If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, tell us, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
